History:
Cayana Alhi grew up in the company of nobles in Saldaea. A normal upbringing for a minor noble family. Cayana being the first of three sisters and one brother. Being only of a minor noble family and the oldest daughter her mother wanted to marry her off nicely, that is to a man of higher status then they were. In order to catch the young nobles eyes Cayana were taught the ancient (and during times forbidden) dance of sa'sara once she was old enough to marry.
Cayana learned the dance quite well, but didn't fancy getting married yet. Then suddenly she found out something about her mothers past that made her want to search her luck elsewhere. She found out that her mother once had been an Accepted of the Towers but she hadn't been able to or had failed the testing to Aes Sedai or something else she didn't want to talk about. Cayana, feeling she was tougher then her mother left to be tested for channeling abilities. At this point she was 17 years old.
Arriving at the now joined towers Cayana learned that if she hadn't arrived when she had she would eventually have started to channel of her own as she was born with the spark and quite strongly. So she began her training as a novice of the white tower.
She spent 7 years as a novice before being able to control her ability to channel enough to be raised to accepted. 5 years as Accepted being torn between joining the Greens or the Yellows as she had a talent for healing the Yellow desired. Her heart wasn't in the yellows though and so she eventually joined the green after being raised to Aes Sedai.
First after being raised did she get access to the records of what had put her mother out of the tower when she had been Accepted. Her mother had gotten pregnant with an unknown male of the tower. He hadn't stepped forward to claim responsibility and so she had been turned away not to return to the tower. The only association with the tower she was allowed was to become one of the Kin, but obviously she had returned home and gotten married off to the man Cayana had grown up believing being her father. This was most likely also why her time as a novice had been 7 almost 8 years. She had had to prove herself more worthy then her mother since her mother was so like herself.
Cayana had now spent about 5 years as Aes Sedai. Even though she was strong she was not the strongest Aes Sedai and she was still quite young. She hasn't found a bondmate yet and hasn't been out of the Tower. Still she enjoys her time as Aes Sedai. Every once and a while she likes to go down to the city and amuse herself at a local tavern or something where she can play with the males. She is careful though not to come to close to men. Especially after learning about her mothers past.
